Over the centuries some of the worlds greatest leaders , Generals , Admirals and Enlisted men were great chess players.. Chess teaches strategy , planning , mind control..I would say yes..
Wars are won by whom ever has the best strategy, so, yes.
Why not. Chess is a game of war.
Consider this:
Who funds more terrorist activities than any other country?
Who found themselves with US Armed Forces to thier east in late 2001?
What country to thier west was used to place them in "check"?
NATO to the east of me
Democracy and NATO to the west.
I’m stuck in the middle again!
Who will make the move that takes them out of "check"?
i think playing call of duty and civilization would help him/her more than a ancient game involving knights and rooks…what the hell is a rook anyway?
Definitely. Supposedly Napoleon was a great chess-player. The strategy in chess is very deep, much more so than these newer games that another person mentioned.
