The Blackmar Diemer Gambit is one of the most aggressive lines that white can play as it gives up his king’s pawn as early as the 2nd move in the game and then looks to also give up his king’s bishop’s pawn. Do the Spielmann Gambit
I am weak in middle games, i play the openings properly but after that i just dont know what to do, i saw the (middle game strategy) but i think i need more help.
yeah i find my self in a good position but then he does something and it goes wrong

Interesting…I had used this gambit and I instead of the person bringing out his bishop he pushed his e7 pawn…I was able to fork his king and rook and won with a nice checkmate eventually.

love this opening i played a somewhat blackmar diemer gambit and was down by 19 to 12 and still ended up winning and this was in the 14 move to
if they slav-defence the queens gambit, then couldn’t you play the exchange variation then go in to a kinda-sorta blackmar diemer gambit?

The Giuco piano can be interesting, particularly when played with the evans gambit (not sure if evans gambit is sound though)

What a blunder !!
The BDG is my favorite opening! Unfortunately the variation demonstrated in this video (The Ryder Gambit) is dubious at best. After White castles long, Black has the advantage: 7. O-O-O? Qxf3 8. Nxf3 c6 -/+ Andre- Reinhard, Correspondance game).
Now if Black fails to take the White’s D Pawn with 5..Qxd4!, White has chances! Thanks for posting a video on my favorite gambit, which doesn’t get enough respect.
wow ok ive been looking up and reading up on this gambit, and everywhere they say you will rarley win with this gambit. People continue to criticized this way of playing. why is that?
