Chess Openings: Evans Gambit Part 1

The Evans Gambit is a very aggressive line in the Giuoco Piano that has yet to be refuted. I think it is white’s best continuation in the Giuoco Piano and gives white lots of fighting opportunities throughout the game. Part 2 www.youtube.com

Then d5 and Knight is lost. He’s pinned to the King.
if black move his knight to from c6 to a5 the whites queen can go to b5 forking the knight and the king
Do you have any video on the basic King or Queen Opening?
I’ve been thinking about this too, it was the one burning question I had that none of the youtube videos, nor any chess website seemed to cover. After 4. b4 Nxb4?! what is white’s best response? You say you might do Nxe5. but I think this response will get you killed. As I played out several lines last night. If 5. Nxe5 black responds Qf6!
Here black threatens mate in one and the knight on b4 provides strong support. I think after 4 b4 Nxb4 white’s best response is c4.
if White opts to take the pawn back with 5. Nxe5 and white defends the checkmate, black still has strong options with Nxc2 and Bd4 threatening winning the exchange
white obviously can try to be aggressive anyway. and continue pressure on f7. According to databases, Nxb4 scores poorly, but I think if white replies Nxe5 is a huge mistake
u called the queen a bishop haha 5:56 , but nice video.
If the knight takes b4, c3 is the correct response, same as if the bishop took it. The result after the knight moves back to c6 is that d4 is even more powerful as it now attacks the bishop as well as the centre. This is why the retreat by the bishop to c5 in the Bxb4 line ( reaching the same position) is not the best.
At 8:16 why move Ng5 when you could move Re1 and win the Queen?
Sorry just saw the Bishop
what happens if black doesnt move his bishop to C5? but just moves on another knight or pawn??
it’s very annoying to hear you consistently mis-speak, calling a queen a bishop and a bishop a queen but, your analysis is very clear and helpful otherwise. thanks.
what if the opponent declined the gambit? what will i do? right now im kinda falling in love with the evans gambit but i kinda have a mental block if the opponent declines… and what if i offer the gambit ahead before i develop my white bishop?
@thechesswebsite but after Nxe5 Qf3 will win the knight
@thechesswebsite then Qxa1 wins the rook
Re1 wins the queen, bishop takes then rook takes.
At 3:33 what is wrong with qb5?
@thechesswebsite then white could play pawn to d5 winning the knight in the next move as the knight is pinned to the king.
at 1:40 after i moved the pawn to D4 black moved knight to A5, what was I supposed to do next?

good job!
@thechesswebsite
Actually, if that happened, I’d probably do Qf6.
From what I see, that is threatening checkmate. If its blocked with the knight, QxRa1. If its blocked with something else, the knight falls.
How about Qa4+, Nc6, d5?
If he moves the knight back to c6, d5 follows and the knight is lost. Best option for black is to block with c6 then the Queen protects the knight.
