The London System is a great opening for beginner chess players as it is an easy way to develop your pieces properly and doesn’t involve any crazy tactical lines early on. www.thechesswebsite.com Chess Software used in the video can be found at http and www.chessok.com

do u not think he resigned too quick? i mean, he still had lots of options…and how can he not defend himself?
In the final position 1, … Qe7 must be worth a go.
I really like your videos. You are a marvelous teacher. Too bad that chess is not that popular as it should be my friends!
I love your vids:) keep them going on !
well done, but what happens if black attacks the bishop on f4 with e.g Nh5?
@DOCSOCKBFD777 1…Qe7 2. Bf6 Qxh7 3. Rxh7 Kc6 4. Bxg5 white looks to be really good in this position.
@kettellive I do think he resigned too quickly but in this position I do think it will be very tough to defend himself.
thx for posting a very interesting video
good video. I’ve been wondering what exactly the london system is ever since a friend of mine played it against me.
also, that active-piece speech was a little long, haha. 1:20 XD
Good stuff. As a QG player I can say that in the QGD my dark squared bishop will find itself a home, most often on g5, on move 4 or 5. thats pretty early!
@kettellive Well i thought so too till i realized the G pawn is a monster here. It will win black’s queen or at least rook in many variations.
Why not bishop to g5? is it because it gets kicked to quickly??
Very nicely explained
London System!! Nicely done Kevin.
@thechesswebsite
nice video
Great opening suggestion!
This is good, I’m one of guys you mentioned who often don’t get the dark squared bishop very active as white.
fdbhgdbndgdf
good stuff
It appears that the only difference between the London System and the Torre attack is Bg5 instead of Bf4.
nice comments as usual… good job!

Is there a good opening to play against the london system ?
Black may have resigned, but it was not “forced”. Nice idea but this game was far from over.
7:04 what if black plays c4? am i missing something? otherwise a great opening. i had A LOT of success with it! thx for the video
