I like this, much better than the swedish version.
Good song! Chess had a very good score, it should have done much better than it did.
Ohhh… Hate the Swedish version of this song. But the Swedish version gets some other things right, though.
Oh yes. There are some relayy good parts in the swedish version, however this song is not one of them.

Yeah. “You and I”, “Nobody’s Side”, “Hungary 1956″, “The Argument”, and “Mountain Duet” are several of the things that went well in the Swedish version. “The Arbiter’s Song” and a few others… Didn’t go so well…
Exactly correct. Björn is the only one that can make this song really worth listening to .. as Anthem is only to be sung by Tommy Körberg and Nobody¨s side by Elaine Paige. All others are just cover-versions by less skilled artists.
This musical is BRILLIANT. Rice was such a gifted lyricist, and Ulvaeus/Andersson’s music fits with the words splendidly.

In our university production of Chess we used a female arbiter. She was fantastic. Its all about the attitude.
