white: Queens gambit or the four knights
black: Sicilian
When playing as white I always play the Queens pawn opening, sometimes the Colle, sometimes the Torre attack, or even the queens gambit. For Black I play the Caro Kahn when the opponent opens up with e4.
Wow what a nerd question. You’re expecting an answer like "knight to E 4" or something, lol!
i like to move the pawn infront of one of my rooks.
and for my black move i like to try an counter what ever they have done, like of i moved the pawn infrom of my rook i’d move the pawn so my bishop would be on the square where the rook would have to be
The prussian game for black and alekhine defense if im in a rut..
Ill ussually go KIA when im white, but i prefer to be black.
i always try 2 get my queen out first so that way i can weaken their defences
Its best to leave the king and queen back and move the pawns up that way if you lose them its ok
I love to play Ruy Lopez as white and usually play sicilian or slav defense for black depending upon what white does first.
I have different responses for th Sicilian, French, Caro-Kan’t, Alekhine, and Pirc (98% of all else becomes a weak Pirc).
I love the Scotch gambit.
1)e4 e5 2Nf3 Nc6 3) d4 exd4 4) Bc4!?!?!
Don’t try gambits at home, kids.:)
Oh as Black against e4 I like the Alekhine. Against d4 I used to play the Dutch. (Warning: do not play the Dutch.:))
ok It all depends on how you would like to play and the level of play you will be having to play. For example i am a 2224 rated player so some openings are unplayable at that level. If it is at club level and you like to play aggressively and tactics based, then i would recommend the King’s gambit which starts [ 1. e4 e5 2. f4 ] and follows either the accepted or a declined variation. If you are more positional and passive in style i would recommend the ruy lopez closed variation which you can look up at chessgames.com.
for black there are several responses to [1. e4] again the most aggressive opening is called the center counter/ Scandanavian. It follows the line [1 e4 d5] at which point the game diverges to either the Accepted Center Counter or the declined Scandanavian. Against [1. d4 ] one can play a variety of openings, i would advise you to look at the Dutch Leningrad.
All of these openings can be researched at chessgames.com or if you want i can recommend several books. Nunn’s chess openings, Modern Chess Openings, and Encyclopedia of Chess Openings.
pawn
I like to open up with the knights towards the center, those are usually my first two opening moves, for black i ALWAYS defend using my center Pawns
