My son’s six years old. I don’t want him be immersed in the online computer games which are violent. I want him to contact with some healthy chess games

Try this free site on wich you can play chess against a Java applet with four level of difficulty without the need of registration or download any software. At beginner level the computer make mistakes to facilitate the opponent. The interface is very clean.

You probably can not keep him from being exposed to violent computer games; his school friends will see to that. What you can do is offer the alternative in addition to the dregs. Teach him the basic moves and encourage him to play often. One of the great advantages to playing chess is that your son does not need to stay in his own age or weight group – he can challenge Grandpa or other adults or a chess computer set to his increasing skill level.
For his age, you will probably want to start with a plastic set or an inexpensive wooden one. Find lots of "starter kits" at http://www.ChessRight.com and good luck to you and your son.
