I dont know about registering because I play many at many places
Yahoo
go to games.yahoo.com and follow links to board games/chess
I just played with out registering or downloading.
Unfortunately I lost.
I have never heard of a site you don’t have to register at.
http://www.freechess.org needs registering but you can stay with the unrated games.
Yahoo chess has bugs. A good number the chess questions here are why my board locked. Literati has problems about people signing in.
If you go Yahoo soon you’ll be back with a question like this:
I go on Chesscorner.net. IT’s free, but you have to make a username, but you can put up posts that you want to play with a real live person. You can talk to them and tell them you’re a beginner (like me). And to go easy on you.
Try http://www.gameknot.com
It’s a website that is good for slow chess. You can take days for moves.
Try chessmaniac.com,
itsyourturn.com,
redhotpawn.com,
cowplay.com,
chessworld.net
